A recent article in the Columbus Dispatch provided inaccurate and/or out of context information regarding our service changes.  Click here for the Capital Area Humane Society’s points of clarification.

The Capital Area Humane Society is changing how we provide services to make the best use of our limited resources while providing only the highest quality of care.  Effective September 1, we will no longer accept nursing moms and their litters or healthy feral cats.  We also will only accept stray animals from within Franklin County.  More information/Service Changes Fact Sheet.
