Cooper also wants you to know that he has tested positive for FIV - Feline Immunodeficiency Virus - which means that his immune system is weakened and he is more prone to infections and other types of illnesses than he otherwise would be. There is no cure for FIV; however, many cats live for years without ever developing any full-blown disease and enjoy a great quality of life. FIV cannot be spread to humans but it can be spread to other cats via a bite, so Cooper needs to find a home where he is the only cat or where there are only other FIV+ cats in the household. He also needs to strictly be an indoor-only cat. If you have room in your home and heart for a positively AWESOME cat, Cooper just may be the one for you!
